This Ford 3 speed top loader transmission was used in the 1937-39 passenger cars and commercial vehicles with the 60hp V8 motor. With a couple minor exceptions, none of the 60hp trans parts will interchange with the bigger 85hp transmissions. There was also a 73-7006 case used from 1937-39 which was an option for commercial vehicles, which used the regular 85hp gear set. Ford changed the Sixty transmission for 1940 and used the regular 85hp gears in a special gearbox designed for the 1940 Sixty cars. This case was a side loader but was unique to the sixty motor.

Repair Kits or Parts Kits
We do not offer multi-part kits (except for the gasket sets and seal kits) for the early Ford transmissions for one simple reason. There are too many variations in gears and other transmission parts over the years, and a kit would either have to include a lot of unnecessary parts, or would be missing a key part that your transmission required.
Please order the specific parts you actually need. We can assist you with this if you need help.
