Here we are looking east on Beechmont Avenue, from just east of the railroad tracks near Eastern Avenue. In the hazy distance you can just make out the iron truss bridge at the end of the levee, where it crossed over the Little Miami River. The photo from 1931 shows a very active business district, which was much changed after the construction of the new viaduct yet to come. On the left is the East End Supply Company, a dealer in coal. As stated in similar photos of this view, the buildings on the right were all razed to provide the land for the new viaduct support structure.
