This is Beechmont Avenue looking west, approaching the end of it where it met Eastern Avenue in 1930 before the road improvement project that involved construction of the viaduct. Numerous businesses are seen in the image, many of which were eventually displaced by the work. A Chevrolet auto dealership is seen on the right hand side of the road. This section of the road was raised to allow Beechmont Avenue to pass over Eastern Avenue and the railroad right-of-way.
