Directions are a bit misleading in these old photos. Eastern Avenue runs more or less north/south under the Beechmont Avenue overpass. I think this view is more northward than eastward. Beechmont Avenue is running somewhat southeast from this location toward the Little Miami River. The picture was taken after the viaduct was completed in 1931.
